Convicted felon sentenced for stealing and crashing rental car on the Big Island

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 51-year-old Puna man is sentenced to 10 years in prison.
John Rapozo pled guilty to stealing a Chevy Camero from a Rent-a-Car center in Kona and crashing it in 2022.
He also pled guilty to possessing meth and a handgun without serial numbers.
Ropozo had 38 prior convictions when he was arrested.
